Welcome Message

Welcome to KIPPS Seoul 2027

Dear Colleagues,

It is my great pleasure and honor to welcome you to KIPPS Seoul 2027, which will be held from January 22–24, 2027, at Seoul National University College of Medicine in Seoul, Korea.

This meeting marks a historic milestone as the first World Institute of Pain (WIP) Symposium, Workshop, and Examination (SWE) ever held in Korea. It also represents the inaugural international educational event organized by the Korean International Pain Physicians Society (KIPPS), a non-profit academic organization established to advance education, innovation, and global collaboration in interventional pain medicine.

For more than three decades, the World Institute of Pain has played a leading role in advancing interventional pain medicine through education, hands-on training, and international certification. KIPPS Seoul 2027 proudly continues this tradition by bringing together distinguished faculty, WIP examiners, clinicians, researchers, and trainees from around the world for a unique educational experience at one of Asia's leading academic medical institutions.

The program will feature two days of lectures, interactive discussions, and intensive cadaver-based training, followed by the WIP FIPP and CIPS examinations. Participants will have the opportunity to learn directly from internationally renowned experts while refining their procedural skills through extensive hands-on experience using fresh-frozen cadaver specimens in a state-of-the-art educational environment.

A unique strength of this meeting is its strong emphasis on practical education. With 10 fresh-frozen cadavers and multiple dedicated procedure stations, participants will gain valuable experience in fluoroscopy-guided and ultrasound-guided interventions, neuromodulation, regenerative pain medicine, minimally invasive spine procedures, and advanced techniques for the management of chronic pain.

Beyond the scientific program, Seoul offers a dynamic setting where tradition and innovation coexist. We hope that KIPPS Seoul 2027 will not only enhance clinical knowledge and procedural expertise but also foster lasting friendships, international collaborations, and a shared vision for the future of pain medicine.

We look forward to welcoming you in Seoul.

Warm regards,

Prof. Jee Youn Moon, MD, PhD
